The UAE Restaurant Group (UAERG), the official body representing the UAE’s F&B sector, recently hosted an open day on September 9th.
This event, held at the Dubai Chambers Headquarters, was an important platform for discussing industry trends, challenges and opportunities. Furthermore, the event attracted top players from the food and beverage sector in the UAE. The industry professionals gathered to explore various topics relevant to the vibrant and rapidly evolving F&B landscape in the region.
Furthermore, the open day featured several sessions, including a keynote speech by Maha Al Gargawi, VP of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers. Her insightful address emphasized the extensive business support available from over 100 business groups operating under Dubai Chamber of Commerce. Moreover, these groups provide invaluable resources that help businesses grow and develop within the food and beverage sector in the UAE.
Adding to the community atmosphere, leading brands like Moishi, MAD Hospitality Society, S’ya Tea, and Shahenshah Kulf offered product samples. The breakout room was a fantastic space for attendees to network and experience the diverse culinary offerings from various UAE brands. Attendees also benefitted from the participation of government departments like Dubai Municipality, Dubai Economy and Tourism, and Dubai Police. They addressed critical issues, including safety for delivery riders and the latest regulatory updates for restaurants in the UAE.
Abdulla al Mulla, chairman of UAERG, expressed how the feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive from industry professionals. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of networking and sharing insights to address common challenges faced by businesses in the industry. Moreover, UAERG remains dedicated to uniting restaurants across the Emirates, providing a valuable platform for discussion and collaboration.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, allowing attendees to directly interact with industry leaders and speakers. This was followed by closing remarks from Tapan Vaidya, CEO of PJP Investments Group and UAERG’s Treasurer. He provided an optimistic outlook for the future of the F&B sector in the UAE, emphasizing the industry’s growth potential.
