Tetra Pak, a global leader in food processing and packaging solutions, has signed an agreement with Nuitree Food, a UAE-based firm that’s part of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla AlQasimi Group of Companies, to establish a specialized plant-based manufacturing facility in the UAE. The factory will provide comprehensive end-to-end processing and packaging solutions.

The announcement is in line with both entities’ visions on sustainability. Tetra Pak’s strategic aim is to provide sustainable food packaging that ensures food safety and availability, while reducing the environmental impact on the planet.

According to a Tetra Pak study, the market for plant-based foods is expected to be worth USD 34.5 billion by 2032 due to a rapid change in consumption habits.
