IHCL expands into Bahrain with Taj resort Hamala

India’s largest hospitality company has announced the signing of a luxury hotel and boutique resort in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Notably, these greenfield projects are significant, as IHCL becomes the first Indian hospitality company to establish a presence in Bahrain.

Puneet Chhatwal, MD and CEO of IHCL, shared: “We are pleased to announce these two hotels in Bahrain. This aligns with our strategy to grow Taj’s presence in key gateway cities globally.” He also added, “We are thrilled to partner with Kingdom Projects, bringing the iconic Taj brand to Bahrain, enhancing its tourism landscape.”

Nestled amid picturesque surroundings, the Taj resort in Hamala will feature 251 luxurious rooms, reflecting the island’s serene ambience. Additionally, it will offer luxury amenities such as an all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a swimming pool and an exclusive beach club. Moreover, the resort will include wellness areas like a state-of-the-art gym and tranquil spa. The 1,200-square-meter banquet facilities will cater to grand events, making it a key player in Bahrain’s leisure sector. The 200-room Taj hotel in Downtown Seef, Manama, strategically located in Bahrain’s bustling capital, will cater to both business travelers and tourists. In addition, it will feature world-class wellness facilities, including a modern gym, spa and swimming pool. Furthermore, the hotel will provide diverse culinary experiences, including all-day dining, specialty restaurants and an exclusive pool bar. It will also offer banquet areas designed for meetings, corporate events and weddings.
