Sunset Hospitality Group, a Dubai-based hospitality investment and management company is optimistic on the mid-term outlook of the industry, promising exciting new hospitality experiences for the future.
The company shared its outlook on the future of the food and beverage industry post Covid-19, projecting an increased demand for restaurants, bars and lounges as early as Q4 2020, and a steady recovery thereafter.
Sunset Hospitality’s portfolio currently comprises venues across the UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, with multiple new openings in the pipeline. The Group has begun opening some of its outlets in full compliance with Government regulations and social distancing procedures, with more scheduled for the coming weeks.
“Our approach from the outset has been to remain calm, get all the facts right and then act accordingly, keeping the health of our team and customers as top priority. There is no doubt that the current pandemic is by far the biggest challenge our industry has ever faced; however we are absolutely positive that together we will get through this, and we will soon be back in full force to deliver the best hospitality experiences that bring people together to celebrate life,” says Antonio Gonzalez, CEO of Sunset Hospitality Group.
While the hospitality industry has been one of the most severely impacted by the global pandemic, the Group believes it is on the road to revival and will be met with increased consumer demand and new consumer trends.
“It is difficult to forecast when the hospitality industry will witness a full recovery – we hope to start seeing this from Q4 2020 or Q1 2021 – but without a doubt, it will recover. We have very tough times still ahead during the coming months, but at Sunset Hospitality, we believe that the key to long-term viability and success is providing memorable experiences. We are confident that the simple principles that made us successful will still be relevant in the future, and we will continue to offer our guests amazing experiences, great value, the very best quality food and warm, professional service,” says Gonzalez.
Earlier this year, Sunset Hospitality announced plans to open multiple new outlets, taking its already strong portfolio above 30 venues. This included the introduction of two new divisions, namely Fast Casual and Living, as well as the highly anticipated introduction of SUSHISAMBA to the region and the opening of Aura Skypool at The Palm Tower.
Commenting on the future of the Group and its tenacious expansion plans, Gonzalez says: “With the right support of landlords, suppliers and partners we can ensure our company will emerge strong, and that our key strategic projects for expansion, although they may face delays, will ultimately be implemented as the markets recover. We remain committed to developing all the projects we have previously announced and introducing fresh brands and concepts into the market.”
