Al Arabiya Real Estate announced the signature of an agreement with IHG to build Staybridge hotel in Kuwait.
The agreement was signed by Imad Jawad Bukhamseen, chairman of Al Arabiya Real Estate Company and Pascal Gauvin, managing director of InterContinental Hotels Group, India, Middle East and Africa.
“We are excited to continue working with a global partner such as InterContinental Hotels Group in a new hotel that represents a qualitative leap in hotel service not only in Kuwait but also in the Gulf region,” said Bukhamseen.
He added: “We have enjoyed a unique relationship with the InterContinental Hotels Group for more than 30 years. We are delighted to further strengthen this cooperation through an exclusive agreement to establish the Staybridge Hotel with international standards in Kuwait,” saying that the project is aligned with the various initiatives led by the government under the Kuwait 2035 vision.
Gauvin said: “InterContinental Hotels has a strong heritage in Kuwait, which is a major market for us in the Gulf region and we are proud to continue our long-term partnership with Al Arabiya Real Estate to launch Staybridge brand, as well as expand our offerings to both domestic and international travelers. Tourism in Kuwait is developing rapidly, so we seek to capitalize on the tremendous growth opportunities offered by Kuwait Vision 2035.”
