Rotana unveils robust regional expansion plans

Rotana recently unveiled its ambitious regional and international expansion plans, showcasing the group’s long-term vision and commitment to growth.

Indeed, Rotana plans to develop 43 new properties in 24 cities throughout the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Turkey. These new properties will add 9,049 rooms to its inventory, effectively bringing its total global key count to 30,301 rooms.

Commenting on the expansion strategy, Philip Barnes, CEO of Rotana, said: “Rotana’s development plans underscore our commitment to expediting growth and meeting customer demand. Drawing on our rich heritage, we look forward to welcoming more guests worldwide.”

New openings

In the Middle East, a key market, the group is set to unveil several new openings. These include Bloom Arjaan by Rotana on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi and Yasmina Rayhaan by Rotana in Riyadh, KSA, by 2025. The Riyadh property will significantly support the property’s goal of tripling its key count in the kingdom within three years.

Additionally, work is underway on six new Edge by Rotana properties in the MENAT region, reflecting the brand’s recent growth. Launched in 2022, the Edge by Rotana brand currently operates seven properties in the UAE and KSA. By 2027, Rotana is on track to reach 30 Edge by Rotana properties across the region, reinforcing brand expansion.

Today, Rotana operates 82 hotels across the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Türkiye, with promising new projects in Türkiye.
