Rotana unveils robust expansion plans

Rotana has announced its ambitious expansion plans, aiming to reach 120 operating hotels spanning 28,000 keys by 2030.

Rotana is this year celebrating its 30th anniversary by proudly showcasing its world-class offerings across its six superlative brands at ATM. Spearheading a strong pipeline of 50 hotels in the MENAT region, Rotana continues to cement its position as one of the leading hospitality brands, leveraging the buoyant travel and tourism industry in the region.

Commenting on the group’s expansion plans, Guy Hutchinson, president & CEO of Rotana, said: “The hospitality industry has seen tremendous results in the last year, and we are positive the momentum will continue building in the region. Leveraging our keen understanding of the market, we remain committed to continuing expanding our footprint and providing our guests with the highest levels of comfort, luxury and personalized service that Rotana is known for. As we move forward with our expansion plans, we actively strive to raise awareness of the importance of sustainability across our operations. We look forward to further solidifying our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and discussing practical and ambitious solutions with our partners, in line with the UAE Net Zero vision 2050”.

Saudi Arabia presents one of the fastest-growing markets in the region, increasingly establishing itself as a leading business and leisure hub. To respond to the growing demand, Rotana plans on developing seven new hotels in Saudi Arabia, including five new properties in Riyadh and one in Al Baha, under the Edge by Rotana brand, adding triple the number of rooms it currently runs in the kingdom to 6,000 over the next four years.

In Egypt, the group is gearing up for the much-anticipated luxury resort Luxor Rotana opening in 2025 as well as five new hotels in the pipeline across Cairo and the North Coast. Opening its doors in 2025, Luxor Rotana is ideal for the discerning leisure traveler, providing guests with the ultimate luxury and comfort across its 319 spacious rooms and suites, a wide selection of food and beverage options and recreation facilities. In Cairo, Rotana is working on the opening of White Palace Rotana Resort, situated in the heart of the city and overlooking the ancient pyramids. The five-star resort will offer 353 rooms and suites, diverse dining options including two specialty restaurants, state-of-the-art facilities and 11 meeting rooms.
