Novotel Dubai Al Barsha Hotel has hired chef Kiran Ramsaran as its new Executive Chef. He brings over 26 years of top-notch culinary experience. He was the former chef of the late Nelson Mandela.
Chef Ramsaran holds a bachelor’s degree, in hospitality & tourism management. He later specialized in culinary arts. His career began in Mauritius.
‘Peanut Butter Spinach Soup’, was Nelson Mandela’s favorite dish that Chef Kiran cooked for him during the official visit to Mauritius in 1998.
Chef Kiran has been with Accor during the last seven years. His last venture was in Africa where he worked for Fairmont Kenya as Executive Chef. Chef Kiran is not a stranger to Dubai, where he worked for the other large Accor Cluster; the Novotel World Trade Centre as Cluster Executive Chef.
In 2005, he pursued his culinary journey at Habtoor Hospitality in Dubai and then his career path continued as Executive Chef where he perfected his skills in sunny Seychelles and Maldives. He also got a great knowledge of the oriental & savory Iranian flavors in Iran in 2015, which adds on his varied background.
Driven by passion, the aim of the new Chef is to make Novotel Dubai Al Barsha a culinary destination.
