W Hotels Riyadh to open in 2025

Marriott International Inc. and KAFD DMC have announced an agreement to open a new W Hotels property in KAFD, Riyadh. Set to debut in 2025, W Riyadh will offer an urban escape and bring bold design to the Saudi capital.

Expected to feature 210 luxury rooms, seven restaurants and event facilities, W Riyadh will redefine hospitality in Riyadh.

Chadi Hauch, regional VP at Marriott International, views Riyadh as a key metropolis for global travelers and that the signing of W Riyadh aligns with KAFD’s vision to enrich lifestyle destinations.

“This monumental signing underscores the increased demand for distinctive luxury brands in the capital. We look forward to working with KAFD DMC to bring the W Hotels vision for innovation, creativity, design, and exploration to the city.”

Gautam Sashittal, CEO of KAFD DMC, highlighted the importance of the collaboration in positioning KAFD as a lifestyle destination. He stated: “Our collaboration with Marriott International marks a pivotal milestone in our ongoing expansion efforts. W Riyadh is an exciting addition to the company’s hospitality offerings and will help position. The project also aims to set new benchmarks in luxury living and hospitality experiences, and it will help accommodate the high influx of travelers into the capital.”

W Riyadh will be located in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District, a 20-minute drive from King Khaled International Airport. Furthermore, KAFD stands as the world’s largest LEED-certified mixed-use business destination. A landmark development, from its sustainable design and eco-friendly operations to smart infrastructure and LEED-certified buildings, KAFD epitomizes the core values of Vision 2030 of quality of life and sustainable development.
