Accor expands footprint in Saudi Arabia with signing of Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud

Accor has announced the signing of Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud, marking another important milestone in the brand’s expansion across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This new addition strengthens Accor’s presence in the region and underscores its commitment to growth and development within Saudi Arabia’s dynamic market.

Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud’s offerings

Set to open in 2028, the new-build property will feature Novotel’s signature warm, modern design, as well as thoughtful wellbeing and entertainment offerings. Additionally, this development is located in one of the most dynamic areas of Riyadh, reinforcing Accor’s commitment to the Saudi market and supporting its continued growth across the Middle East.

The 225-key Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud will cater to a diverse range of guests, offering 160 hotel rooms for short-stay travelers and 65 serviced apartments for families and long-stay guests. Furthermore, the property is owned by Saleh Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Partners & Co Ltd, one of Saudi Arabia’s largest real estate players, showcasing the strong partnership between Accor and its local partners. This collaboration aims to significantly enhance Riyadh’s hospitality landscape, benefiting both the brand and the local market.

Strategically located on King Abdullah Branch Road, Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud will provide easy access to Riyadh’s main commercial districts. Additionally, it is situated close to Olaya Road and King Fahad Road. Moreover, the hotel’s prime location ensures it is ideal for both corporate and leisure travelers.

The property will feature a variety of amenities designed to enhance the guest experience, such as a restaurant, lobby lounge and 750 square meters of flexible meeting and banqueting spaces. Furthermore, guests will be able to enjoy wellness facilities, including a sauna, steam rooms and treatment areas. Additionally, these amenities are carefully curated to provide comfort and relaxation, ensuring an unforgettable experience for every guest.

Accor’s growth in the Middle East

Accor currently operates over 40 Novotel properties across the Middle East and Africa, with more than 21 additional hotels in the pipeline. Furthermore, in Saudi Arabia, the group operates nine Novotel properties (2,664 keys) and plans to introduce six more by 2030, adding approximately 1,300 keys. Across all segments, Accor operates 45 hotels in Saudi Arabia, with 42 more in development, reflecting strong growth.

The recent opening of Novotel Riyadh Sahafa, along with the upcoming launches of Novotel Dhahran, Novotel Living Dhahran (2026), Novotel Living Riyadh (2026) and Novotel Rua Al Madinah (2027), all indicate strong demand for Novotel’s trusted brand in the kingdom.
