New GM for Marriott Hotel Al Forsan Abu Dhabi

Marriott Hotel Al Forsan Abu Dhabi announced the appointment of David Lance as General Manager. In his role, starting on November 1st, 2019, David will oversee the management and operations of the five-star property nestled within Khalifa City.

A hands-on and goal-orientated professional, Lance brings more than 20 years of experience to Marriott Hotel Al Forsan. Prior to this new role, the Australian led the teams at Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments Downtown Abu Dhabi to success by achieving growth in revenue per available room (RevPAR) and exceeding budgeted gross operating profit.

“As a member of the Marriott International family for more than 16 years, I have a strong understanding of the culture of excellence that the group strives to achieve. I am excited to take up the new challenges that come with this position and join the quality team of individuals responsible for the success of Marriott Hotel Al Forsan,” said Lance.

Lance began his career at Sydney Marriott Hotel in 2003. He worked as a Duty Manager and Front Office Manager. Three years later, he joined Mayfair, Bangkok – Marriott Executive Apartments as Executive Assistant Manager followed by two years as Director of Operations at the Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Patong Beach.

 In 2011, he became the General Manager at Sukhumvit Park, Bangkok – Marriott Executive Apartments, where he served as a strength to the team for three years before moving to the United Arab Emirates in 2015.

 In addition to supervising operations and managing hotel staff, Lance will uphold guest relations by frequent interaction. To continue ensuring guest satisfaction, he will also focus on maintaining high standards of quality and service at the property and look into the various ways to enhance guest experience
