Maya Bekhazi Noun launches new catering concept

Lebanese entrepreneur Maya Bekhazi Noun has launched The Food Studio, a fresh catering concept designed to meet diverse culinary needs.

“Catering has always been a complementary business for me. I didn’t shift from restaurants to catering; I’ve always done a bit of catering on the side,” she shared with HN.

Maya explained, “I’ve catered personally for friends and family at small events because I loved doing it. Over time, the demand grew naturally, and our client database expanded on its own.”

What sets catering apart, according to Maya, is that each event is a unique project that requires creativity and research—elements she enjoys exploring.

The Food Studio specializes in several areas, including Discovery Menus, which are tailor-made for each event; themed birthday parties for kids; and B2B services that offer support to other food and beverage retailers. The concept also accommodates small weddings upon request, food and alcohol pairing menus featuring single malts, wines, and sake, as well as home dinners and live cooking experiences.

Maya Bekhazi Noun has been involved in the food and beverage industry for over 15 years and serves as the general secretary of the Syndicate of Owners of Restaurants, Cafés, Nightclubs, and Pastries in Lebanon. She has been instrumental in creating, developing, and operating various concepts, including Shoots UAE, Spin the Hen, and Curli Q. Currently, she is working on new concepts for Qatar and the Ivory Coast, as well as a large project that will be revealed later.

In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, Maya has consulted for internationally renowned companies such as the Sheraton in Jeddah and the Beirut Hospitality Company (BHC), a Solidere venture. During this time, she conceived, developed, and managed new concepts, including Café M, Relais Foch, and GRID Coffee, along with a 1,200 m² central production kitchen and catering business.
