Ishraq Hospitality appoints new director of operations

Ishraq Hospitality, the asset management and hospitality division of the Mohamed & Obaid AlMulla Group, announced the promotion of Joseph Karam to director of operations. This move is in line with the group’s expansion of its strategic objectives in the hospitality sector to foster growth and consolidate its position as one of the leading hospitality management companies in the region. 

Alexander Suski, acting CEO for Ishraq Hospitality, said: “Joseph Karam’s leadership abilities and his experience as a well-rounded hotelier make him a highly effective player in the hospitality industry. As cluster general manager, he has played a vital role in Crowne Plaza Hotels’ rebranding and conversion. His critical inputs helped resolve the constraints in Holiday Inn Express Jumeirah to create seamless operations.”

Suski added that Karam has solid experience in hospitality with prestigious brands such as IHG, The Rezidor Group, and flagship hotels of Onyx Hospitality across the Middle East and Southeast Asia. As director of operations for Ishraq Hospitality, Karam will oversee the group’s eight properties in the UAE.
