How would you describe the the hospitality scene in KSA?

The hospitality scene in KSA is evolving dynamically, driven by changing consumer preferences, increasing tourism and Vision 2030 goals. Consequently, there’s a palpable energy as the industry embraces innovation and transformation. Moreover, with a growing emphasis on luxury and cultural authenticity, KSA is set to become a global hospitality hub. In essence, the arrival of The Jeddah EDITION symbolizes a milestone in realizing Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 aspirations. By seamlessly blending luxury, innovation and authenticity, the EDITION brand isn’t just opening in a new market. Ultimately, this debut marks the introduction of a world-class hospitality brand, offering travelers an unparalleled experience reflecting this thriving destination’s vibrancy.

As a new hotel, what are the challenges you’ve faced?

As a new hotel, we’ve encountered typical challenges inherent in launching a property of this caliber, from fine-tuning operational logistics to establishing our presence. Furthermore, building brand recognition and earning the trust of our guests have been focal points of our efforts. However, these challenges have served as opportunities for growth and innovation, reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.

Why is a robust F&B offering crucial for hotels in KSA?

In KSA’s hospitality landscape, a robust F&B offering is paramount for several reasons. Firstly, it serves as a cornerstone in the guest experience, showcasing culinary creativity and cultural diversity. Secondly, given the importance of socializing and communal dining in the region, F&B venues foster connections and help to create memorable moments. The Jeddah EDITION features two lounges – Lobby Lounge and Lobby Bar, and a signature restaurant, Maritime. Additionally, Maritime offers meticulously curated culinary concepts by acclaimed New York chef Cédric Vongerichten. Furthermore, Maritime, reflecting the spirit of culinary exploration, is the hotel’s signature contemporary French-Asian restaurant, open from sunrise to late evening to serve perfectly executed dishes designed to be shared.

What are your plans for the hotel?

Our plans for the hotel are multifaceted, reflecting our commitment to excellence and innovation. In the short term, we aim to establish The Jeddah EDITION as a premier luxury hospitality destination. Furthermore, we will leverage unique offerings and personalized service to exceed guest expectations. In addition, we’re focused on integrating sustainability practices into our operations, aligning with global trends and local priorities. Looking ahead, we aspire to expand our presence in KSA, exploring new opportunities to redefine luxury hospitality. Moreover, we aim to contribute positively to the country’s vibrant tourism landscape.
