Hilton has signed an agreement with Al-Gharaa International for Real Estate Development to open three hotels in the Islamic World District of Knowledge Economic City (KEC) in Madinah, enhancing the city’s hospitality offerings.

The agreement was signed in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as representatives from Knowledge Economic City and Hilton.

This milestone marks the debut of Hilton’s award-winning extended-stay brand, Home2 Suites by Hilton, in the Middle East & Africa (MEA). It reaffirms Hilton’s commitment to diversifying its portfolio to meet the growing demand for hospitality offerings across the Kingdom. With this collaboration, Hilton is further establishing its footprint in Saudi Arabia, where the demand for high-quality accommodation is continuously increasing.

The three properties will add 1,415 keys to Hilton’s growing portfolio in Saudi Arabia, offering guests both short- and long-term accommodation. The hotels will also provide a wide range of value-added amenities and services.

Carlos Khneisser, VP of development for MEA at Hilton, voiced his excitement. He said: “Saudi Arabia is our fastest-growing market in the region, with more than 70 hotels in the pipeline. Expanding our partnership with Knowledge Economic City will deliver upscale and affordable accommodation for thousands of people visiting the holy city.”

Mohammed bin Abdul Hamid Al Sheikh Mubarak, CEO of KEC, added: “This partnership represents a significant milestone in realizing KEC’s vision to create a world-class destination.” He noted: “Our collaboration with Hilton underscores our dedication to developing a dynamic Islamic World District.”
