Ghia Holding, a Lebanese company that creates, launches, and operates F&B concepts, has debuted Abd El Wahab, its Lebanese restaurant to London, in partnership with Lebanese businessman Thomas Rizkallah.
The restaurant is located in Belgravia, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Abd El Wahab was founded in Beirut in 1999. Its successful concept expanded its footprint outside of Lebanon, with outlets in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, and Bahrain.
Ghia Holding’s portfolio involves several labels, including MED, FABRK, Caribou Coffee, and Ahwak Café, among others.
Maroun Daou, operations director of Ghia Holding, told HN that only one Abd El Wahab is planned for the UK capital. “There was a need for good Lebanese restaurant in London, which motivated us to launch Abd El Wahab,” he said.
The outlet, which is directly operated and managed by Ghia Holding, spreads across a ground floor which can host 100 guests, and an underground level, which is a licensed cigar lounge and can serve 40 guests as a private dining area.
Investment in the project is £1 million (USD 1.4 million) excluding the premium paid for the location.
