Expanding its renowned offering, Beirut’s restaurant group Em Sherif is delighted to make its way to London’s Knightsbridge to showcase its unique take on refined Lebanese cuisine from February 1, 2022. The 80-seat restaurant is a must-visit culinary destination that offers Harrods’ customers a curated menu by acclaimed chef Mireille Hayek and her daughter, Chef Yasmina Hayek.
Guests will be transported into an elegant and authentic Lebanese dining experience, which simultaneously offers the comforting atmosphere of a family home. The interiors, designed by the award-winning Ramy Butros, complement the Lebanese menu, incorporating hand-selected and intricately embroidered chair designs — representing the Hayek family’s culture and history — and beautiful bespoke tiles on the walls.
The menu features an array of mouthwatering dishes, including the signature fattoush salad with pomegranate molasses, wagyu Hummus and em Ali, a delicious vanilla-infused milk, nut and puff pastry dessert.
Mireille Hayek said: “I am proud to bring the Em Sherif dining philosophy to the most iconic department store in London. At Em Sherif, we are renowned for our leading traditional and refined Lebanese food, and we aspire to be the very best that London has to offer.” She added: “At the forefront of this partnership has been the creation of a unique A La Carte menu and a world-class dining experience for guests to enjoy at Harrods. In addition to our restaurant offering, we are thrilled to offer Harrods customers the opportunity to take a taste of Em Sherif home with them from our new Deli in the incredible Harrods Food Halls!”
Ashley Saxton, director of restaurants at Harrods, said: “ We have worked extensively to develop an impressive portfolio of the best local and internationally acclaimed chefs at Harrods, and we are delighted to welcome Mireille Hayek’s renowned Em Sherif to the Harrods family in January 2022. As a world-class culinary destination, we have partnered with Mireille, Yasmina and their expert team to create an exclusive and enticing a-la-carte menu that offers something for every customer.”
Alongside the restaurant, which marks the group’s debut in Europe, the first-ever Em Sherif deli opened inside Harrods’ iconic Food Hall, offering customers a taste of Em Sherif to take away.
