According to Katara Hospitality, Doha Marriott Hotel, will undergo a full renovation, and will be closing its doors as of September 1. Katara Hospitality has appointed UrbaCon Trading & Contracting as the contractor for the property’s renovation.
The project will witness its first revamp since its opening in 1973. Works are expected to end in 2021.
Rooms, public areas, recreation facilities and the conference and meetings space will be renovated. The hotel’s food and beverage offer will also be enhanced.
All facilities and services will be fully available until September 1, 2019. Guests booked at the hotel after September 1, 2019 are being contacted individually for alternate arrangements.
A new tower to give visual connectivity between the two towers, a family pool with a dedicated zone for kids’ activities and a full new external landscape design are in the pipeline.
