Chez Zakhia debuts in Beirut

Chez Zakhia, a celebrated Lebanese seafood restaurant, has opened its first branch in Beirut, marking an exciting new chapter for the brand. Situated on the seaside of the iconic Riviera Hotel, the new location offers a prime destination for seafood lovers in the heart of the city. The restaurant, renowned for its fresh and authentic seafood dishes, first made its debut in Jbeil in 1984 before relocating to Amchit in 2001, where it became a favorite along Lebanon’s northern coast.

Owned by Zakhia Moujahed, Chez Zakhia has established itself as a trusted name in Lebanese cuisine. The new Beirut branch features a seating capacity of 400 guests, including 180 indoor seats. The restaurant will further enhance its ambiance next year with the addition of a garden terrace, increasing the outdoor seating capacity from 220 to 250. With an investment of over $1.5 million, this expansion underscores the restaurant’s commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience for its guests.

Moujahed explained that opening a location in Beirut had been a long-standing aspiration for the brand, but finding the perfect seaside spot took time. “Beirut has always been on our checklist, but picking the right location was difficult. Riviera is the perfect landmark, and our partnership made it the ideal spot for us,” he said in an interview with HN.

Chez Zakhia is also eyeing future growth in the region, with plans to expand into the Middle East. While no specific projects have been confirmed yet, the restaurant is actively exploring opportunities for international expansion. As Chez Zakhia continues to grow, it aims to bring its signature Lebanese seafood dining experience to more locations across the Middle East.
