Lebanese-American cookbook author and founder of Taste Lebanon, Bethany Kehdy, launched in Dubai her new food concept, DAYMA, a Levantine cookhouse that creates contemporary dishes and delivers them to homes. “Our purpose is to deliver authentic dishes with extraordinary flavour and flair, aka nafas!” This is the way the restaurant describes its values.
Chef Kehdy looks beyond modern, artificial national borders to communicate the authentic, rich and shared culinary craft of the Levant.
“The menu offers all the familiar classics with fresh, comforting twists. They’re truly dishes you can’t find elsewhere and suitable for office lunches, to family dinners and gatherings. Our shared Levantine kitchen is naturally quite vegetarian-led and so there are plenty of delicious offerings in that category too!” said Kehdy.
