Southern Sun Abu Dhabi appoints Belal Kattan as its executive chef

Southern Sun Abu Dhabi has appointed Belal Kattan as its new executive chef.

Kattan has around 20 years of experience working in the Middle East (Doha and UAE), where he has held multiples roles at major hotel groups. His previously positions include cluster executive chef, executive chef, and food and beverage director.

Commenting on his new position, Kattan said: “I am looking forward to establishing Southern Sun Hotel as a culinary destination by elevating the food offering of the Capital and The Foundry Steakhouse. I am excited about reopening Balcon Terrace following its refurbishment.”

Southern Sun is known in Abu Dhabi for its all-you-can-eat brunches, fine-dining and award-winning steaks, and ocean-fresh oysters, as well as its nightly promotions, mezze, madras and sushi menus.
