A virtual Ramadan with Radisson Hotels

A virtual Ramadan with Radisson Hotels

From rustling up meals and getting together for virtual Iftar gatherings to listening to sermons via Zoom, Ramadan this year, will be like no other before. To support the governments’ efforts encouraging the public to stay home, Radisson Hotels have released a series of Ramadan recipe videos, featuring their chefs from across Middle East and Africa. In addition, their hotels in the Middle East have also announced a food delivery service, allowing you to break your fast with all your favourite cuisines in the comfort and safety of your home.

While hotels across the Middle East would usually be opening their Iftar and Suhoor tents, hosting crowds who’ve gathered to break their fast with a lavish buffet until early morning, this year things are slightly different.

Considering the current global situation, most people will not experience Iftar with their extended families, but rather embrace cozy dinners within the security of their homes. That however does not mean you can’t indulge in delicious Ramadan food traditions.

Bert Fol, regional director Arabian Peninsula and East Africa, Radisson Hotel Group told HN: “The holy month of Ramadan is a time synonymous with friends and family gatherings, but with the impact of COVID-19, this year is certainly different, with those gatherings now taking place via Zoom.” He continued: “This, however, does not have to halt the enjoyment of delicious traditional Ramadan dishes. With the launch of our Ramadan recipe videos, we want to encourage the public to use this time to try new dishes in the comfort and safety of their own homes.”

Fol explained that to support this culinary adventure, Radisson Hotels decided to create easily accessible online recipe tutorials, showcasing dishes prepared by some of our talented chefs across Middle East and Africa. “With the significant increase in internet consumption over the last few weeks, it is evident how much we are currently relying on technology and how much it is aiding us to remain connected, even while practising strict social distancing. We hope that the public will enjoy these special local dishes from various parts of the Middle East and Africa and we wish everyone a blessed Ramada and hope to see you soon.”

With the launch of their Ramadan recipe videos, Radisson Hotels seeks to encourage people to get creative in the kitchen and be transported across Middle East and Africa with a range of local Ramadan dishes from across the region.

In addition to being delicious and easy, the featured dishes require basic ingredients, many of which are pantry staples or can easily be purchased at your neighborhood store.

For those who prefer to not test their own culinary skills, Radisson Hotels across the UAE are offering Iftar deliveries, bringing wholesome meals for you and your family to your door.
