A taste of Lebanon in Paris with the “Mouné Libanaise: Artisanat Gastronomique,” an initiative by the Embassy of Lebanon

The Embassy of Lebanon in Paris organized a culinary initiative titled “Mouné Libanaise: Artisanat Gastronomique” to promote Lebanese agri-food products and introduce new brands, initiating B2B networking between key players in the French market and Lebanese brands.

More than 50 Lebanese brands were present, out of which 37 brands were new to the French market. The event was attended by journalists, influencers, hypermarkets, more than 25 specialist grocers, over 50 restaurants and hotels, 12 importers and distributors, and representatives from the chamber of commerce who came from different parts of the country, including Normandy, Nice, Strasbourg, Valence and Lille.

Chef Jean Haidar, Chef Rouba Assaf and Chef Karim Haidar worked together to make “Mouné Libanaise: Artisanat Gastronomique” a great tasting experience for all.

In the scope of economic diplomacy, Rachel Alameddine, Lebanon’s economic attachée to France, connected key players in the French market with Lebanese brands to form business linkages and promote exports.

She studied Business Management and earned a Masters degree from Saint Joseph University (USJ), her thesis was published in the Proche-Orient, Études en Management book. Her love for the industry and journalism led her to Hospitality Services - the organizers of the HORECA trade show in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan, as well as Salon Du Chocolat, Beirut Cooking Festival, Whisky Live and other regional shows.
