Grand Plaza Mövenpick hotel to open in Media City

AccorHotels, the world’s leading travel and hospitality group announced that its Grand Plaza Mövenpick hotel will open in March. It will be the first and only five-star premium accommodation in that area, as well as the only one with an 800-guest capacity ballroom. The hotel features 235 spacious guestrooms and suites ranging from 46-94 m2. The hotel also boasts a fully equipped convention center, a first in this area. Guests will also enjoy the convenience of being close to the heart of the city’s commercial hub and renowned attractions.

Commenting on the project, the property’s GM, Alfio Bernardini said, “Grand Plaza’s unique positioning, central location and exemplary facilities will serve to provide the best experiences for both business and leisure travelers. Every element of the property has been designed in line with our brand promise, we make moments.”

The elegant property boasts exquisite attention to detail, high ceilings and large windows bathing the chic interiors in rich natural light. All rooms utilize a neutral color palette and are set against breathtaking views of the Palm Jumeirah. The hotel’s dining experience offers guests a choice of five in-house lifestyle driven venues. From Afternoon High Tea at The Grand Lounge, the ‘neighborhood’ deli Slice, poolside healthy dining options at Bytes, classic European escape Verve Bar & Brasserie and TWENTY THREE Rooftop Bar, a space combining panoramic urban vistas with light bites and twenty-three classic cocktails.
