Rotana accelerates global footprint with new projects

An exciting pipeline of new openings has been announced by Rotana.  

Philip Barnes, Rotana CEO, said: “The group has laid a remarkable foundation that allows us to continuously evolve our offerings. With an ambitious expansion strategy in place to add another 30 properties to our portfolio by 2026, we are actively venturing into new markets.”

Presence in KSA

Regionally, the brand is set to launch nine new properties in Saudi Arabia over the next four years. This expansion will double its key count in the country to over 4,400. The KSA portfolio includes four planned Edge by Rotana properties and a Rayhaan by Rotana property in Riyadh. Additionally, there are three properties in Al Baha and the upcoming opening of Al Manakha Rotana in Madinah.

New openings in Bahrain

Onyx Arjaan by Rotana opens in Manama, Bahrain. This marks a significant addition to the brand’s growing portfolio in the region.

Developments in the UAE

In the UAE, Bloom Arjaan by Rotana on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island is also set to open this year. Featuring 217 serviced hotel apartments, it promises to offer luxurious accommodations. Furthermore, Mangrove Rotana in Ras Al Khaimah is on track to open, with 240 keys, conference facilities, and diverse dining options.

Entry in Africa

The brand will debut in the Algerian market in Q3 2024 with the launch of Azure Rotana Thalasso & Resort. In Senegal, the brand has announced the new 150-key Arjaan Hotel Apartments in the bustling city of Dakar. Additionally, the brand signed a management agreement for a five-star resort in the West African nation of Benin.

Exciting projects in Egypt

In Egypt, the group is gearing up for the much-anticipated luxury resort of Luxor Rotana and Palma Bay Rotana Resort. Additionally, the brand is developing two new hotel projects in Cairo, including White Palace Rotana. This five-star hotel will feature 353 keys and diverse dining options.

The brand currently operates 76 hotels in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Turkey. These hotels serve more than six million guests per year. Furthermore, the brand’s overall pipeline spans 10,420 keys across six superlative brands. This impressive pipeline includes 40 international hotels and seven new properties in the UAE alone.
