ENVI Lodges has partnered with Oman’s Ministry of Defense Pension Fund to create the first-of-its-kind ecolodge in Oman. Situated in the heart of Al Jabel Al Akhdar, this sustainable mountain lodge aligns with Oman’s National Tourism Strategy 2040.
This marks ENVI’s entry into the Sultanate. Furthermore, it reaffirms its commitment to environmental conservation while providing guests with a unique mountain retreat. The lodge aligns with Oman’s aim for 11.7 million visitors and 80,000 eco-friendly hospitality options focused on nature and adventure.
Set to open in 2025, ENVI Al Jabel Al Akhdar will boast 40 luxury expedition tents designed by Tenthouse Structure. These precision-engineered, hand-crafted tents will be insulated and include heating systems for the winter season. The lodge offers a farm-to-table restaurant, private pools, wellness center, library and family-friendly amenities, including a picturesque swimming pool. An adjacent events space will host community activities, such as markets and food trucks. Guests can also explore nearby villages, interact with local farmers and embark on hikes to discover Oman’s mountains.

ENVI Lodges minimizes site impact, preserving nature and aligning with their commitment to environmental conservation. Furthermore, each tent and facility is situated on decks fixed to the ground using eco-friendly anchors. Additionally, extensive rewilding efforts will be conducted to regenerate the environment, which has suffered damage in recent years. Thus, promoting and involving local communities will be a top priority for these initiatives.
Oman’s tourism sector is on a rapid growth trajectory, with visitor arrivals reaching 2.9 million in 2022, according to NCSI. The ministry anticipates 3.5 million visitors by 2024 thanks to investment in new projects and attractions, signaling tourism growth.
