Saudi HORECA Jeddah in the spotlight with Jad Taktak, CEO of SEMARK Group

Jad Taktak, CEO of SEMARK Group, is setting the bar high in the arena of food trade shows. We sat with the man behind the largest hospitality and foodservice event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to learn more about Saudi HORECA Jeddah, which is debuting from February 7-9, 2023.

How important is the role of Saudi HORECA Jeddah in the kingdom’s F&B and hospitality scene?
The western region of Saudi Arabia is booming with a number of mega projects, so Saudi HORECA Jeddah aims to elevate Jeddah’s F&B business scene and act as the catalyst that will initiate this transformation.
The event provides a business platform for hospitality and food-related companies to meet, interact and do business. Suppliers can meet buyers from the world of F&B and hospitality, thus seizing billions of Saudi Riyals worth of contracts.

What have been the challenges in organizing Saudi HORECA Jeddah which slated in February?
We have worked hard to find the right exhibitors and partners, as well as identifying the right buyers. How successfully we have executed these tasks will ultimately determine the impact of the event.

What are your goals for Saudi HORECA Jeddah?
We have big plans for the event. We aim to establish it as the industry’s driver and position it as the largest hospitality and foodservice event in the western region in terms of space, the quality and quantity of exhibitors, visitors, events taking place on site, as well as the size of deals signed.
