UAE-based F&B firm Restaurant Secrets Inc. has announced the opening of its latest restaurant serving bao and Asian-fusion cuisine, Baofriend in Dubai Digital Park.
With eccentric, eye-catching interiors, Baofriend is the city’s latest casual, foodie hot spot. Comprising a more refined version of Asian food-truck favorites, with an emphasis on baos, the menu at Baofriend offers breakfast, bao, small plates, maki, bowls and desserts.
Baofriend’s interior is inspired by the dynamic food trucks that are popular in Asia. Natural greenery and neon lighting bring the outdoors indoors. The walls feature oddly shaped mirrors, work by local graffiti artists, vintage license plates and signs from across Asia. The menu features an array of tempting dishes, like the katsu baoger, ramen kimchi, Thai red curry, wok-fried udon, steamed bao sundae with honeycomb, miso caramel sauce, and the dark chocolate caramelized pashmak bao with pistachio halva mousse, pomegranate and rose water.
Gabrielle F. Mather, CEO and founder of Restaurant Secrets Inc., said: “It was a pleasure for the entire team to work on this project, especially because the owners have a great vision for their F&B venture as well as their people. Junah Corona and Ali Ibrahim, the proud owners of Baofriend came on board with a dream and not only has an amazing restaurant become their reality, but it has also led to great friendships and meaningful employment for a team under their care.”
