Danny Geadaa at the helm of Radisson Blu Resort, Jizan KSA

As the newly appointed general manager of Radisson Blu Resort, Jizan KSA, Danny Geadaa thrives on challenges. Here, he discusses his latest endeavors and what’s planned at the five-star property.

What have been some of your most memorable career highlights?
Over the past seven years, I have been involved in several hotel openings. It all began in 2015 with Citea Apart Hotel Beirut, which I successfully opened and operated for two-and-a-half years. I subsequently managed Novotel hotel Yanbu in KSA, where I restructured the hotel, reducing expenses and increasing the profit margin.
In 2020, Covid-19 hit, and I was tasked with managing two properties in Riyadh for four months.
Thereafter, I took a giant leap and joined The Red Sea Development Company, where I planned and oversaw the operation from the ground up. It was a career milestone.

How would you describe your leadership style?
After several years in the industry, I have learned to adapt and change my management style according to the region, culture and product.
I am a team player and treat my colleagues like family. Training my team to work in a fun manner and enjoy what they are doing is so important to me, and I always lead by example.

What’s your mantra?
I live by the saying: “Walk on your broken foot, and leave no trace of your hand on anyone’s shoulder.”

What can you tell us about your new role?
I will be managing Radisson Blu Resort Jizan, which consists of 150 spacious rooms and suites. The property also features two pools and courtyards, with outdoor and indoor shisha lounges.
In my new role, I am responsible for overseeing the hotel’s F&B outlets, meeting rooms, ballroom, gym and spa.

What are your plans for Radisson Blu Resort, Jizan KSA?
My main focus is on the pricing strategy of the resort to fit the market. Furthermore, I intend to promote the hotel’s F&B outlets, as there is untapped potential.
In addition, I will be conducting training sessions for our staff members to increase the service quality, especially after two years of uncertainty and lockdowns.
