HORECA CONNECTS: a must-visit for professionals and industry stakeholders

The second day of HORECA CONNECTS was a huge success, welcoming thousands of visitors to Seaside Pavilion. The show kicked off on March 22 and continues until March 24.

Faithful to the mission of event organizer Hospitality Services of bringing people together and delivering valuable business experiences, HORECA CONNECTS is held under the theme “Building New Bridges.” The event provides trade professionals with an unparalleled opportunity to discover the latest products in the market, network and do business. 

Day two featured an array of conferences and hot talks on the industry’s most pressing topics as well as discussions on the hospitality vision in Lebanon, agro-food solutions and much more. 

Berytech’s Agri-Food Innovation Days, which is held concurrently with the HORECA CONNECTS, gathered together agri-food leaders, corporates, entrepreneurs, startups, investors, researchers and visionaries. During one of the talks, the economic attachés of the Lebanese embassies in Paris, Washington and Abidjan discussed opportunities abroad, in addition to potential buyers and channels to export.

Rachel Alameddine, economic attaché to the Embassy of Lebanon in France, said: “HORECA CONNECTS reflects the true image of Lebanon and the ability of Lebanese talents to innovate and remain resilient despite the economic and financial crisis the country has been through. We can obviously see Lebanon as a center of business and an investment magnet, and this is what we aim to achieve through the efforts of Lebanese key players with the support of Lebanon’s embassies worldwide. We can help Lebanese industrialists promote their products, and we can provide them with a channel to export.”

The much-anticipated talks during the final day of HORECA CONNECTS, on March 24, will include discussions on world tourism, opportunities in the times of crisis and import substitution in Lebanon, among others. Also, GMs in Lebanon will be talking about the future of the hospitality industry in the country.
