U.S. Meat Export Federation’s beefy proposition

On the occasion of HORECA Lebanon 2019, the U.S. Meat Export Federation hosted ‘Live the U.S. Beef Experience’ at the Hilton Beirut Downtown over lunch. In attendance were local, regional and international chefs, trade and sales executives, as well as U.S. meat suppliers.

Lina Kanaan, Managing Director of Agri Marketing and official representative of the U.S. Meat Export Federation took to the stage and thanked the company’s trade partners and buyers from the foodservice and hospitality industry. These included Naji Hayek from Mabsout and Idriss, Wajdi Safi from Halwany Consumer Products, Shadi Sfeir from Raymond Ghattas, Alain Haddad from Royal Gourmet, Hovig Kozobokian from Dekerco Food Processing and Ahmad Saad, Head of Fresh Food Trading at Spinneys.

This was followed by a word from Reaz Mehdi, Economic and Commercial Officer at the U.S. Department of State who remarked, “This event showcases how expert chefs work their magic on American beef. We always enjoy our time at events that promote the hospitality sector, an area of strong job growth potential for Lebanon. Local consumers value the high quality and brand appeal of U.S. products and we are proud that world-class American products are readily available in the Lebanese market. After living in Beirut for nearly two years, I am pleased to find many reminders of home readily available in grocery aisles and restaurants all over Lebanon.”
