April 27, 2016 – Three mixologists have won the burst 2 of Diageo’s World Class competition. Four expert mixologists have competed under the theme ‘Cuisine meats cocktails’. Winners were Alain Achkar from SUD, Harout Ghazarian from Caramel Group, and Wael Koussaifi from Villa Badaro. They will join the first three finalists of burst 1, to compete for the last local round. The winner will represent Lebanon in the Global World Class Competition taking place in coming June in Miami.

March 28, 2016 - G. Vincenti & Sons, the distributor of food and spirits brands in Lebanon, celebrated Courvoisier Cognac’s ‘Toast of Paris Since 1889’ new look and packaging. The brand’s new style aligns it with its Parisian history as it recalls the Paris Golden Age, or La Belle Époque, an era from 1870-1910. The evening took place at the Pavilion Royal – Biel, and was attended by diplomats, politicians, and business leaders in addition to distributors, traders and media representatives.

March 30, 2016 - Mike Kassabian of Sapa has won the first burst of Diageo’s World Class Competition. Kevin Haddad from Central Station came second, and Fida Ayoub from Hamra’s Bistro Bar came third. All three bartenders will be participating in the final national World Class Competition, and the winner will be representing Lebanon in the global one. The competition took place in Amarilla Latin American restaurant and pub in Mar Mekhael, and was judged by Tess Posthumus and Timo Janse.
